C had been employed as a receptionist/clerk in chambers for a short time before she became pregnant. She subsequently became unemployed and was claiming benefits. C faced a threat of homelessness as her landlord had served a section 21 eviction notice.
C was seeking help from the local council regarding the eviction. She was receiving Universal Credit but was struggling to make ends meet, especially with an 11-week-old baby to care for.
The CSCF were able to award C £2,000 to provide some relief and support during this difficult time.
The financial assistance from the CSCF helped C manage her immediate financial needs, providing her with some stability and relief as she navigated her challenging circumstances.
